Printed bags, films and paper.
From the manufacturer, not a print shop.

NEX PRINT, flexographic printing up to 10 colours

Film, print and converting in one location. Repeatable colour batch after batch, UV-resistant inks, one responsibility for the whole pack.

We do not sell printing by the kilogram. We print on what we extrude and form ourselves: FFS bags and tubes, shrink and stretch hood films, paper. That is why one company is responsible for colour, registration, seal and deadline, and we cost printing the way your controlling does: per bag, per pallet or per pack.

What we print

Printed FFS bags and tubes

Pellets and fuels, fertilisers, construction chemicals, salt, feed. Printing up to 10 colours with inks of increased UV resistance, also directly in the bag production line, with no separate process or transport. Film and print designed together for your FFS machine, so a change of artwork does not stop the line.

Proof: a fertiliser producer, a hood print that does not fade, 22% less film per pallet. A 50 µm pellet bag instead of 80 µm at the same line speed.

Printed shrink film and stretch hood

Beverage multipacks, pallet hoods with a logo. We prepare the print design “with the shrink in mind”, so the graphics land in the pack windows after the tunnel, not before it. The NEX-HOOD NHD hood in an opaque white version with UV inks keeps the brand on the pallet through the whole logistics cycle.

Proof: a beverage producer, premium multipack, 10-colour print and film downgauged to approx. 33 µm.

Printed paper

A paper sleeve for furniture, textiles and dry products, printed before forming, so the print is even around the whole circumference. Paper, forming and print in one location, with FSC certificate C229087. Packaging in the paper stream that keeps the logistics function of film.

Proof: a global furniture network, a paper sleeve instead of a film sleeve with full logistics functionality. The NEX-PAPER printed formed sleeve was nominated in ART OF PACKAGING 2026.

Why at a film manufacturer, not a print shop

Colour drifts between batches. When one company makes the film and another prints it, every delivery is a different substrate and different settings. With us, film and print are made in one process, with in-line PDF control (MIRAFLEX).

In a complaint, two companies point at each other. Registration, seal, colour, deadline: one supplier, one responsibility, one point of contact.

Three production calendars. Film, print and converting at three suppliers means three deadlines and three transports. With us there is one schedule, and the plates stay on site, so a repeat does not start from zero.

Print as part of the product. We sell a finished bag, pack or hood with print, not a printing service. That is why we do not print on customer-supplied substrate and do not accept “print only” orders.

What it really costs

We do not quote a rate per kilogram, because that number misleads. We cost printing per unit of packaging: per bag, per pallet or per pack. At that scale, four colours on a pellet bag come to pennies, and a logo on a pallet hood to single euros per pallet whose load is worth thousands. We prepare a quote for your product, volume and number of colours within 72 h, with one-off costs (photopolymer plates) listed separately, so nothing surprises you later.

Who we are for, and who we are not

For producers with repeatable production: from approx. 5 tonnes of film a year and printed runs from 500 kg. Then film and print can be designed for the line, and colour and price can be held.

We do not print on customer-supplied film and do not run one-off short runs. If you need a few hundred kilograms with print for a market test, we will honestly point you to a distributor or propose an unprinted bag.

How we work together

  1. Enquiry. Product, annual volume, number of colours, deadline, logo or artwork (if available). 2 minutes.
  2. Reply within 72 h. Whether it is for us, which film or paper, a preliminary quote per unit.
  3. File check for flexo. A technologist verifies the artwork: separations, minimum line weights, registration, inks (UV, food contact). We usually find 2-3 things that lower the cost or the risk. Before you send, review the flexo file preparation guidelines.
  4. Production run with documentation. Production in 10-21 working days.
  5. Repeats. The plates stay with us; the next order runs without settings from zero, in the same colour.

Technology, for technologists

Frequently asked questions

Will the print survive a season in the yard?

Yes, if the inks and the UV stabilisation of the film are selected for the exposure time and the colour. Red is the hardest; we solved it for a fertiliser producer without changing the packing line.

Is the print suitable for food contact?

Yes. We produce to the BRCGS Packaging Materials standard, inks and films are selected for compliance with 1935/2004 and 10/2011, with tests for specific product codes.

How many colours do I need?

Usually fewer than the design assumes. More colours mean higher plate and changeover costs; during the file check we show what really works for recognition.

Will you take over a design that another company prints today?

Yes. We transfer the design, quote the cost of new photopolymer plates up front, and match the colour to the reference.

How long does a repeat take?

Shorter than the first run: the plates and settings are with us, and we match the colour to the reference.

Three suppliers, one problem

You buy barrier film from one supplier. You order printing from a print shop. Converting and rewinding: somewhere else again. Three contracts, three calendars, three points of contact.

What goes wrong?

  • Print registration “drifts” between batches: film and print are controlled by two different companies.
  • In a complaint, one company points at the other.
  • Lead time grows: you coordinate three production calendars.
  • Your end customer, say a coffee roaster, sees colour differences on the shelf.

The solution with one partner

  • NEX-LAM LS B AS : film with a barrier and antistatic, for coffee and cosmetics.
  • NEX PRINT : printing up to 10 colours on MIRAFLEX, with in-line PDF Check.
  • Converting + rewinding to formats for your line.
  • Faster repeats : the cylinders stay with us, the next order runs without settings from zero.

Do you recognise this? If you buy film from one supplier, print at a second and convert at a third, this scenario is about your process.

Have packaging to print?
We will check its feasibility.

Enter the artwork size, substrate, number of colours and run length. You will see at once which press and which repeat your packaging fits, and you will receive a per-unit quote within 72 h.

Packaging

Flat film: the number of artworks across the web is selected automatically. Tube: enter the lay-flat tube width.

Miraflex has automatic in-line control of PDF files and barcodes. We send back a report with a list of corrections, not just “file rejected”.

What exactly we check in PDF Check

Number and names of separations, overprints, minimum line weights and text sizes, halftone range, image resolution, geometry against the die-line and the repeat, barcodes (scale, colour, direction, quiet zone), compatibility with the substrate (white, laminate, reverse).

Preliminary calculations, excluding process waste and finishing; every project goes through a Technical Fit Assessment. * Polyamide: range depends on configuration.
