What goes wrong in pallet logistics

Pallets that shift on the trailer because the hood’s holding force was too low or the coefficient of friction did not match the load. Double packing “just in case”, which doubles the cost and the cycle time. Wrapper downtime because film breaks on a delivery. And print on the hood that fades after a month in the distributor’s yard, so the pallet stops being a brand carrier.

What we measure instead of price per kg

The cost of securing one pallet (film plus cycle time), the number of damaged loads per thousand shipments, wrapper availability (downtime caused by film) and film thickness per pallet. We compare stretch hood, stretch wrapping and shrink hood in the same unit: money per pallet.

The wrapper keeps breaking the film. Is it the machine or the film?

Most often neither on its own: it is the matching of film parameters to the machine and the load. We start with a test roll on your line and a measurement of downtime before and after.
