CHALLENGE

A client from the frozen food industry (frozen fruits with non-standard geometry packed in characteristic blue bags) reported systematic cracking of packaging under deep-freeze conditions and during logistics operations in freezers.

SOLUTION

Dedicated multilayer formulation incorporating metallocenes (mLLDPE) and components enhancing flexibility at low temperatures, tailored to the specific product geometry and sealing parameters on the client’s production line.

RESULT

  • elimination of bag cracking at temperatures down to –25/–30 °C
  • seal stability under refrigerated conditions
  • reduction of complaints and losses in the cold chain
