Slitting and rewinding film into finished rolls: the right width, core and winding, stable on the packaging line.

You buy film on large mother rolls, but your packaging machine needs a specific width, diameter and core. On our slitter rewinders we slit and rewind film from our production or your own material to the format of your line, with web tension control, so the roll sits on the shaft and does not telescope.

When NEX WIND makes sense

The roll does not fit the packaging line

You pack on an FFS machine or another line that accepts only one format: width, diameter and core. We slit from 10 to 1650 mm and wind onto 76 or 152 mm cores to fit your shaft.

Telescoping and unstable winding

Loose winding and rolls that shift sideways mean web breaks and waste on the line. We rewind with web tension control.

Why a film manufacturer

One party responsible for the roll. Film from one company, slitting from another: when there is a complaint, nobody takes responsibility. With us, film and slitting come from one supplier.

A format for your machine, not for the warehouse. Width, diameter and core are set once and repeated in every delivery.

No external slitter needed. You do not have to outsource slitting or make do with rolls that do not quite fit your machine.

How we work together

  1. You send the specification. Material, width, diameter, core, packaging line.
  2. Feasibility check. A technologist checks whether we can do it on our slitter rewinders (Technical Fit Assessment).
  3. First roll. A sample for your line, for approval.
  4. Series production. A repeatable roll format in every delivery. Lead time is about 45 days, so plan your order ahead.

Can you slit the film I already buy from you?

Yes. Film and slitting from one supplier is the standard NEX WIND option.

Do you slit and rewind customer-supplied material?

Yes, we also slit and rewind your own material. Before the order, a technologist checks whether it suits our slitter rewinders.

What is the lead time?

About 45 days. For regular formats, it is worth planning orders ahead.

Where do we start?

With the specification: material, width, diameter, core and the machine the roll will run on. A technologist comes back with a feasibility assessment.
