We selected the technology and shrink parameters so that 50-70 \u00b5m films contain 35% PCR, with no CAPEX on the customer&#8217;s side, and the roadmap aims for 50% PCR.<\/p>\n\n  <div class=\"kx-summary\">\n    <div class=\"kx-label\">In brief<\/div>\n    <ul>\n      <li><b>Customer:<\/b> an international home appliance group (washing machines, refrigerators, cookers), Poland and Western Europe.<\/li>\n      <li><b>Problem:<\/b> an ESG target of recyclate in all variants, with film already downgauged from 80 to 50 \u00b5m, without modifying the packing lines and without compromising shrinkage.<\/li>\n      <li><b>Solution:<\/b> selection of technology and shrink parameters for 35% PCR at thicknesses of 50-70 \u00b5m, depending on the application and line type.<\/li>\n      <li><b>Result:<\/b> 35% PCR at 50-70 \u00b5m, savings from the earlier downgauging retained, ESG and PPWR targets met without CAPEX and without line modifications.<\/li>\n    <\/ul>\n  <\/div>\n\n  <div class=\"kx-stats\">\n    <div><b>35%<\/b><span>PCR in the films<\/span><\/div>\n    <div><b>50-70 \u00b5m<\/b><span>thickness depending on application<\/span><\/div>\n    <div><b>50 \u00b5m<\/b><span>from 80 \u00b5m \u00b7 earlier downgauging retained<\/span><\/div>\n    <div><b>50%<\/b><span>PCR as the roadmap target<\/span><\/div>\n  <\/div>\n\n  <h2><span class=\"kx-num\">01<\/span> Customer<\/h2>\n\n  <p>An international home appliance group producing washing machines, refrigerators and cookers, operating in Poland and Western Europe. On the packing line, refrigerators go into a shrink sleeve shrunk with a frame.<\/p>\n\n  <h2><span class=\"kx-num\">02<\/span> Challenge<\/h2>\n\n  <p>The customer had previously gone down from 80 to 50 \u00b5m and had no intention of returning to thicker film. At the same time, it had an ESG target: recyclate in all variants, without modifying the packing lines and without compromising shrinkage. This is the hardest version of the task, because PCR and thin film both push mechanical properties in the same direction: down.<\/p>\n\n  <div class=\"kx-callout\">\n    <div class=\"kx-label\">Why this is difficult<\/div>\n    <p>The sleeve shrinks onto a body with sharp cardboard and EPS edges. Recyclate lowers puncture resistance, and downgauging to 50 \u00b5m removes the margin.
